Chef Michael Friedrich’s passion for sushi started long before he ever picked up a knife—it began on the water. Growing up in San Diego, he spent his days fishing on the Shogun, not just for the thrill, but out of deep respect for the ocean and the fish he caught. He wanted to do more than just catch them—he wanted to honor them. That passion led him to sushi, where he could turn the freshest local tuna into something truly special. And with that vision, Sushi Me Rolln was born.
